Set-up & activation

I'm not technical. Can I still do it?
Yes. If you can install an app on your TV or phone, you can do this, and we'll guide you on WhatsApp step by step.
Can I try it first?
You can ask for a short test on your device. How trials work
Watching & picture quality
Why does it buffer in the evening?
Home broadband and Wi-Fi are busiest between about 7pm and 11pm. A cable or 5 GHz Wi-Fi, and pausing big downloads, usually solves it.
Is there 4K?
Some content is available in 4K. You'll need a 4K TV or device and about 25 Mbps for that stream.
Are there subtitles?
For many films and series, yes, where the source includes them. Live channels vary.
Refunds & your rights
Can I get a refund?
If the service won't work on your device and we can't fix it together, you can ask within 7 days. Refund policy
Does the 14-day cooling-off period apply?
UK law gives a 14-day right to cancel, but it works differently for a service you ask to start straight away. Cancellation rights explained
TV Licence & legal
Do I need a TV Licence?
In the UK you need a TV Licence to watch or record live TV on any channel, on any device, or to use BBC iPlayer. TV Licensing's website has the full rules.
Can I share my login with friends?
No. Your login is for your household. Sharing it can get it blocked. See our terms of service.
